ABA in Tallahassee

In-home & in-school ABA in Tallahassee.

Families in Tallahassee and Leon County shouldn't wait months for autism services — with us they don't. We enroll new families now, accept Florida Medicaid and carriers like Aetna, Cigna, United, and Florida Blue, and pair every child with a dedicated therapist supervised by a BCBA. From early intervention for toddlers to school-readiness and social skills for older kids, we build the plan around your child and your family's routine — and we can walk you through Step Up For Students funding.

Tallahassee FAQ

Tallahassee questions, answered.

Do you serve the areas around Tallahassee?

Yes — beyond Tallahassee we serve Crawfordville, Quincy, Havana, and the surrounding Big Bend communities. Share your address and we'll confirm coverage.

Do I need a diagnosis before House of Hearts can help?

It depends on how you plan to pay. For insurance-covered ABA, yes — Florida insurance requires an autism diagnosis from a licensed psychologist or developmental pediatrician before services can begin. For private pay, no — you can begin services without a formal diagnosis. If you don't have one yet and you'd like one, we can refer you to a diagnostic partner.

What is Step Up For Students and can I use it for ABA?

Step Up For Students is a Florida scholarship that covers up to $10,000 per child per year for autism-related services, including therapy. Many of our families use it alongside insurance.

Which Florida Medicaid plans do you accept?

At this time, we do not accept Florida Medicaid plans. We are actively working toward becoming in-network and will update this page when coverage is available. You can still submit our intake form so we can reach out as soon as we are accepting Medicaid families.

Can my child get ABA at school in Florida?

It depends. Whether ABA can happen at school depends on both your insurance plan and whether your child’s school and district permit outside providers in the classroom. We coordinate with IEP teams where the school allows it, but we cannot guarantee in-school services in every case.
